COVID-19 Procedures

    • All athletes will enter the building wearing a mask & use hand sanitizer upon arrival.
    • Coaches will be required to wear a mask at all times. Athletes will be encouraged to wear a mask whenever possible (e.g. upon entering, exiting), however, they are not be required to wear a mask during exercise (as per Ottawa City Bylaw).
    • Increased professional janitorial service Monday to Friday after the last class.

Second Level Protection

  • In order to reduce a mix of incoming/outgoing traffic at entrances as much as possible, traffic within the facility will be directed with one-way flow (where possible) using floor markers/stickers. Entrances and exits will be clearly marked.
  • Athletes will be encouraged to not leave their designated, socially distanced, workout area for the duration of class.
  • The 3 bathrooms in the lobby, the lobby sink, and the 2 shared bathrooms on the upper level will serve as hand washing stations (6 total).
  • Hand sanitizer will be spread throughout the facility for easy access. Primary use bottles will be found at main entrance to building and entrance to workout space (top of stairs).
  • The use of outdoor space will be prioritized if workout programming permits easy accessibility.
  • Standard one-use paper towels will be provided in all bathrooms.
  • Garbage lids will remain open to encourage touch-less usage.
  • There will be removal of unnecessary communal items such as chalk (bring your own), hair dryers, magazines, cutlery, pens, markers, belts and other protective workout equipment, iPads, erasers, foam rollers, and other items.

Third Level Protection

  • Display signage throughout the facility reinforcing key messages of physical distancing, wiping equipment and hygiene protocols.
  • Professional janitorial service Monday to Friday after the last class.
  • Daily cleaning of shared employee spaces & equipment (i.e. office, front desk, whiteboard, clock remote, cleaning tools, etc.).
  • Use contactless forms of payment for memberships (credit card on Zen Planner account) and apparel (online store ship direct to consumer).

COVID-19 Procedures

  • Athletes will be screened prior to class start time via website COVID-19 screening questionnaire. If an athlete screens positive, the suggestion will be made for them to seek COVID-19 testing through their local assessment centre and they will not be allowed to attend a class until 14-days symptom free.
  • As per the governmental regulations, athletes must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to participating in class.
