By far the best crossfit gym in Ottawa! Going to NCR is my favourite part of my day thanks to the coaches, environment, and community at this gym are that are all in a league of their own. Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be in shape to start?

No, you don’t need to be in shape to start CrossFit. CrossFit is for everyone, regardless of fitness level. We offer scalable workouts that can be adjusted to your individual needs. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced athlete, our coaches will help you start at a level that’s right for you and guide you as you progress.

What if I'm injured?

If you’re injured, it’s important to talk to your coach beforehand. We can modify the workouts to accommodate your injury and ensure you’re still getting a great workout without risking further harm. Our priority is your safety and long-term health, so we’ll work with you to find alternatives or adjustments that fit your recovery.

What if I haven't worked out in a while?

No problem! CrossFit is designed for all levels of fitness, and we will meet you where you’re at. Starting with lower-intensity and gradually building up your strength and stamina is completely normal. Our coaches will help guide you through the process, ensuring you feel comfortable while still being challenged.

What if I can't do the movement?

Every movement in CrossFit can be scaled or modified to match your current abilities. If you can’t perform a certain movement yet, your coach will offer alternatives or simpler variations that still provide an effective workout. Over time, with consistency and practice, you’ll be able to work up to more complex movements.

What’s your schedule?

Our schedule typically includes a variety of classes throughout the day to accommodate different schedules. We offer early morning, midday, and evening classes, as well as weekend sessions. To get the most up-to-date schedule, check out our website or contact us directly—we’re happy to help find a time that works for you!

How long is a class?

Classes are usually around 60 minutes. This includes a warm-up, the main workout (WOD), and a cool-down. You’ll get plenty of time to focus on technique, push your limits, and recover after your workout. We aim to make every minute of your class count!
