meet our team
All of our CrossFit trainers are CrossFit Level 2 Certificate holders (or soon to be!) and both owners are Certified CrossFit Trainers (CF-L3) and Seminar Staff Trainers for CrossFit Home Office. Our trainers embody the CrossFit ethos and know what it takes to dedicate a life to fitness. They realize that not everyone takes the same journey, as they themselves come from different backgrounds, and are ready to lead you on your own path towards health.

MADDIE SCHULER
CrossFit Kids Coach
Certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Certified CrossFit Kids Trainer
I’ve been doing CrossFit for close to four years now and found a love for it right at the start of high school after I ended my competitive gymnastics career. Like many CrossFit newcomers, I immediately fell in love with the energy of the community and the “fun” edge CrossFit brought to fitness and exercise. CrossFit Kids joins together my passion for working with children and my love of CrossFit. As a new coach, I am eager to continue learning more about the CrossFit methodology and hope to continue coaching throughout my young adulthood.

After being an avid runner and soccer player in her youth, Rali started CrossFit in 2013 when she didn’t even know the difference between a barbell and a dumbbell. When not working her 9-5, you can find her coaching CrossFit Kids on Saturday mornings and making some guest coaching appearances throughout the week with the adult classes as well.

Meredith Darrah
Coach
Certified Level 2 Trainer
Meredith started CrossFit in 2012 in Halifax, the city she calls home. Her very first workout was Karen and she was instantly hooked, although admittedly hates wall balls. With almost 25 years as a first responder she finds the constantly varied, functional movement at a high intensity methodology perfect for first responders and shift workers who struggle to find the time to get a good workout in. She coached part time in a CrossFIt gym in Regina, Sk and full time in a tactical strength and conditioning environment prior to coming to Ottawa. She currently has her CrossFit level 1 and level 2 and CrossFit Weightlifting certifications. She loves the CrossFit community. Helping people realize their potential and meet their goals is the best thing about coaching.

Jorja Tweedie
Crossfit Kids Coach
Certified Level 2 Trainer
Jorja moved to Ottawa from Nova Scotia to study Health Sciences at Carleton and found CrossFit not long after. Three years in, it's become a big part of her life both in and out of the gym. As someone studying preventative medicine, she appreciates CrossFit as a sustainable way to stay healthy long-term, not just a workout. Finding a community of people who show up and push each other made a new city feel a lot smaller. Coaching kids is what she looks forward to most. She loves that CrossFit Kids introduces
fitness in a way that feels fun above all, and hopes the kids who come through carry a healthy relationship with movement with them for a long time.

Master’s Certificate in Personal Training
Tyler has been doing CrossFit since early 2016. Originally only doing it “for fun” to hangout with his high school friends, he soon realized there was much more to it. Within his first year of training he had competed several times, and knew he was exactly where he was supposed to be. It was only a matter of time before he took to teaching others, and had been coaching at an affiliate prior to moving to Ottawa for almost 4 years. Coaching has been the most fulfilling thing he’s ever taken on, and has no intentions of ever stopping.
